Growing Company – Passion vs. Profit

September 1st, 2010 No comments

I may not have any money but I do have a passion for helping others. In business this becomes a grave weakness. Unfortunately it does hint that I am reviewing all of my projects and standardizing all of my website business operations to plan on sustaining and maintaining these projects for as long as I can continue to expand my skills and knowledge of modern media and web (yes HTML 5) and other programming and development.

I have a large and slowly growing family of clients. I hope to continue to offer both full support and development support to a hundred new clients by the fall of 2011.

Also I hope to find other interested business professionals to expand NRCW LLC while maintaining the small family-like business ethics I strive to have.

In my research the “Mom & Pop Attitude” stores never make it to a WalMart status but they are a key role in those individuals (customers) who also care about the concept of social interaction and friends.

Net Radio Communications Worldwide LLC might undergo a name change. It is a community based idea that seems to prosper when the economy is down and other companies might seek to scam you of your money (referring to a story my neighbor told me about Cincinnati Yellow Pages outsourced website development and online listings development). That story will be coming to CEO Blog later this month.

Signing Off from my BlackBerry,
Drew Eppley

PS: My ice hockey team made it to the championship. Best of 3 we are 1-1. Final game is tomorrow night. Come show your support for the Dragons (white team). We play at 9:15pm at Northland Ice Center.

The Power of Mobile Websites!

August 18th, 2010 No comments

Wow! I’m impressed with this one. Visit NRCW LLC’s http://cincyahl.com from your mobile device or PDA. It has a brand new look (and nothing is changed on the actual website, it will automatically recognize your device.

More than five websites on a 3 week timeline!

August 16th, 2010 No comments

Wow, this Summer has been crazy. I would like to present to you a sneak peak at some developing websites and insight on projects that will get completed within 3 weeks.

The Project List:

Proudly www.carlisletabletennis.org was finished this past weekend with a brand new look but I still need to do some CSS formatting on the newsletter components. Check that out too!

Here’s a sneak peak at Northland Pro Shop and a snapshot of the brand new CATT website.

Unfortunately due to the amount of workload I will need to increase my hourly rates to around $100 per hour. If you would like a project done this fall, please contact me now on nrcw.biz before the prices increase.

Video Production

August 4th, 2010 No comments

I’m working on a sound sync intro for the 2010-2011+ broadcast seasons on cincyahl.com and tv.nrcw.biz. Check it out! There’s a lot more work to be done but you get the idea! (Click play below)

Tonight’s First Live Band / On Location Venue Broadcast

August 1st, 2010 No comments

It went pretty well. We wanted a direct feed into our broadcasting sound board but the venue did not provide the complete setup for full-range independent microphones (such as drums) so we had to run the audio off of the camera. Among other inconveniences, the overall production was great. We received a total of 72 viewers throughout the evening and enjoyed our entertainment. Here are a few still captures of our final output (the bandwidth was limited so we had to broadcast at 320×240 resolution to keep decent audio).

Summer Contract About to Expire

July 30th, 2010 No comments

Well there’s good news and bad news today. I met with the owner of the company I an sub contracting for since May 2010 and shared my opinions on the current projects. To sum up the overall idea, we both agreed that one project has priority over other projects and that it might be best to put his financial focus towards his currently completing project instead of TOMM.

There was a ton of skilled work that has gone into creating this company but I must say, looking from a company owner’s perspective, it was very unorganized and unplanned when I came into the project. There was no business plan and no set goals to achieve. It really reminds me exactly how important it is to be organized and planned for large ideas in order to stay in budget and make them a success. Also that “there is no easy money”, “always plan on goals to take more time and money than you expect”, and “it takes money to make money”…

I was a little unhappy when the owner stated that he would continue to offer me work for the remaining weeks but for less pay. That is breaking written (email) and verbal (in person) agreements if he chooses to do so. If I am to offer a contract to him as a client to manage his current web portfolio will depend on how things are handled in the following weeks.

As you may have guessed, I am excited to return to driving the school bus.

2010 – Three websites, More than 57,000 visitors!

July 29th, 2010 No comments

NRCW Networks is proud to share that between our three largest clients we have received over 50,000 visitors since January 2010. Just these three website alone have generated over 5,000,000 advertising banner impressions and we still have over 5 months left in the year!

Globally NRCW Websites expect to reach over 3 Million visitors this year alone. Compare this to our last post where we were happy to have a million all time page views back in April of 2010.

New Advertising Banners

July 13th, 2010 No comments

I have developed this new personal company policy to create one new banner ad per day. Keep an eye out for amazing NRCW advertising and some new quirky ones like you might find advertising on this website. It’s really cool to run software as advanced as this. Since I work in Kentucky, I now see my Kentucky ad I completely forgot about! lol

Here’s some samples…

From England

July 10th, 2010 No comments

Allen from King Fisher Table Tennis wrote me today asking for some input on their Reading, England table tennis club’s website. It’s amazing what a little publication can do for us (NRCW LLC). It was a good feeling to respond to a request like that, especially half way around the globe.

I have not talked about Carlisle Table Tennis Club in quite awhile. So here’s a quick update:

Congratulations to my father, John Eppley, for volunteering to take over as President of CATT! From a more web stats perspective, CATT had between 20 and 50 unique visitors each month in March, 2009 before we did the whole “start the company up” thing. After over a year in successful SEO practices, this small table tennis club is getting between 396 and 642 unique visitors a month! Only 20-45 people show up on any given Friday night.

Here goes the boom!

Hope you had a great holiday weekend! So much has happened this past week I have not had a moment to relax. Don’t worry though, it’s all absolutely amazing stuff!

So much I can’t share everything in an hour of writing but here’s the scope:

  • Club MYX has give aways!
  • NRCW LLC reaches Reading, Europe
  • We take on upwards of 7 new clients this week
  • DJ E P Stylez is a new focus on marketing and promotion
  • I’ve got a lot of new promo material!
  • NRCW Networks expands to 3 new regions!

Stay tuned to the blog or follow @clubmyx on twitter to learn how to get free skating tickets. I’m a DJ and I’m still going to be an awesome DJ even though I run over 7 companies now.

Summer Updates

July 5th, 2010 No comments

It’s been quite awhile since I have posted on here so I thought I would keep things fresh. I am continuing to work full time for TOMM Interactive. My face eventually has to end up on the website or videos so keep an eye out for that to break free sometime in the following week or two.

I have taken on a few more web projects in between working on one massive website for the company’s owner (over 120 pages so far) and our new company website. Again I have to keep clear that the working I am doing for TOMM is not related to NRCW LLC or any subsidiary. It is an independent hourly contract at the moment and the additional revenue I am earning is going towards my personal savings for a rainy day.

The latest TOMM projects include a website for one of TOMMs partners in business marketing and communications. I am excited to be taking on that project this week along with a project that somewhat brings back memories as an insurance agent.

As always I have a busy (but only four day) week ahead of myself so I hope to give you my next update within two weeks…

Many websites; a large amount of experience!

June 14th, 2010 No comments

My new summer job is going well. I have launched a few websites and developed many more. My latest projects include Acclaim Hospice of Ohio, Masterpiece Audio / Video and TOMM Interactive marketing which will be run by three to five of us brigning in our own ideas and skills to generate a quality multi-media package for business and organizations in Ohio. None of these are finalized yet including branding and appearance.

A look back in time…

I was organizing this multi-terabyte collection of unorganized data from the past 3 to seven years and came across some great things like old websites I have built to some old random photos of my history. Check them out!

Yet another NRCW LLC Production

May 11th, 2010 1 comment

Sneak peak at yet another production that we started this past February. Completion will be sometime in September 2010.

http://epstylez.com

Not only are we in the multimedia sales and digital downloads field of work. We now specialize in an “iTunes like” web development portal for record labels and musicians! Check out our work here http://www.epstylez.com/music-store (and buy a track or two from my production portfolio)!

UPDATE: Since I’ve been off work sick and can’t sleep I kinda decided to launch the website now. More than 120 days ahead of schedule…
